An abnormal resume
My resume will tell you the what, I'd like to use this chance to explain more of the why.
Governing Group PAC: In 2011, Becky Edwards wrote and passed the first climate resolution at the state-level to pass in a red state. I knew I needed to work with her to see how she communicates, connects, and educates those around her to get to common ground. After her Congressional run, Team Becky pivoted to using the impressive, grassroots volunteer base to help other governance-minded candidates run campaigns. It’s not just about throwing money at good candidates, but giving them the practical resources, people power, and support they need to succeed. 89% of Governing Group PAC backed candidates won their elections in 2024 and we are on track for similar results in 2025 municipal elections.
Intermountain Health Social Media Manager: Intermountain Health is a nonprofit health system serving seven states within the Mountain West and employing 60,000+ employees. I took this job post-COVID lockdowns because I saw a need for basic health education and communication in order to restore trust in our scientific institutions. I saw the growth in misinformation and wanted to build a resource to help people access evidence-based information, giving them the tools to be influential in their spheres. I led a small team, managing enterprise social media pages for the largest employer in the state of Utah. We grew social following across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn from approximately 80,000 to 380,000 (4.5x growth) and saw engagement rate growth of 10%.
Becky Edwards for Congress campaign: As social media manager and creative director, I helped launch a Congressional campaign at break-neck speed (we're talking from decision to announcing in a few hours. You should see the group chat!). My goal was to use social (graphics, photos, videos, and live chats) to strike the balance between relatable and a candidate who will work with her colleagues to get stuff done.
Sunday Edition with Doug Wright Producer: Helped to develop a rebrand of our Sunday morning political talk show. Doug Wright is Utah's voice when it comes to politics. My goal has been to bring voices and issues to our viewers they may not be seeing on their social media feeds. Weekly, I develop show themes based on local and national political news, book and coordinate with guests, coordinate with host, and technical crews.
KSL+ Producer: Developed the market's first digital newscast, airing exclusively online and on our OTT platforms. The show takes the news of the day and dives deeper into the stories, offering context, background, and diverse voices to complex issues.
The Browser 5.0 Producer: Midday newscast highlighting local and national tech and trending news as well as local breaking news as needed. Independently wrote scripts, booked guests, managed and developed social content, and communicated with crew, video editors, sales, and graphics teams.
KSL Today: KSL's morning show. I produced the show's 4:30AM half-hour, working overnight with limited support. Handled local and national breaking news from overnight and into the morning. Highlighted trending and talker topics.
I am interested in politics, pop culture, fashion, history and how they all intersect. I also like to paint in my spare time.
